Distilled : 8/03/1990 – Bottled : : 31/04/2012 – Cask number : CM 176  – Alcool : 49 %

About this distillery the late Michael Jackson wrote: “Style: Fresh grass and lemon; fleshy, sometimes with hints of banana. A classic Lowlander. Drink:  perhaps a malt for dessert…”

Bladnoch distillery

The Golden Cask range is high end, aged single casks bottled at cask strength. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away.
We bottle with care without chill filtering in order to retain the characteristic aromas and flavour in full.
The Golden Cask bottlings are aimed at the connoisseur and collector. We work with John McDougall, whisky expert, who assists us in choosing our casks and deciding when to bottle them. His help has been invaluable to the growth of our business.
We aim to provide a unique product of finest quality at a sensible price.

Lowlands
Lowlands directly touch England to the south and end on the Highland Line to the north. This virtual line, drawn once by the British Parliament, stretches from Greenock to Dundee.
The area includes the central belt of Scotland South (a line from Forth to Loch Lomond). In the region, there always have been only malt distilleries, especially because at the time of the illegal distillation, there was almost no possibility of distilling whiskey in secret in this rather flat country.
